Satomi

Satomi studied music education in Nagoya and taught piano at Kawai Music School before moving to Vienna. She is now completing the Certificate of Performance program in piano at MUK.

Her teaching concept, Klaviergarten (“piano garden”), emphasizes listening and musical freedom rather than simply playing the right notes. Her approach draws on her studies in anatomy, bodywork, and mental training.

Satomi is currently concentrating on her studies in Vienna and is not accepting students. Please see the faculty page for current lesson availability.

Training

She graduated from the music course in the School of Education at Sugiyama Jogakuen University in Nagoya.
She taught piano at Kawai Music School before moving to Austria.
She is completing the Certificate of Performance program in piano at MUK, the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, and plans to begin its master's program in September 2026.
She has studied piano with Kaori Yoshii, Soko Okamoto, Toshio Miyata, and Bernhard Parz.
Alongside performance, she has studied anatomy and physiology, bodywork, and mental training with Andrea Wild and Lilian Genn.
She completed the Wiener MusikSeminar international masterclass program and received a diploma in 2023.
